Attended the Premier of the movie "Ninja Assasin" last night at GV Vivo City. Here's to all Rain fans... GO WATCH. haha... For the rest of us, the movie is entertaining to say the least... packed with action from start to end. It does have some disturbing scenes here and there when the Ninjas assisnate their victims or when Rain fights off his enemies... WARNING: It is quite gory. Limbs fall off, body sliced into half, blood splaters all over... The storyline is simple. It explains how the ninjas are trained from young, than enter Rain who betrays his clan, go against his ex clan members, fights his master... throw in some special effects... and you have a damn good fight scene. :) 3.5 stars. Commendable performance for Rain's hollywood debut. Go watch it on the big screen.
| Yes, If you don't already know, I hit the Big 3-0 on 17 Nov 2009. It really didn't hit upon me until I received the dreaded letter from ICA to change my Identity Card... haha... Oh well. :) I actually took time off to reflect on my last 10 years of my life and what I have achieved... think its something good to do every 10 years... you ponder on what you have done that went right or wrong, good or bad... I think the last 10 years has been rather revolutionary for me. It marked my transition from a nerdy army recruit to a Uni grad, single to married, a lowly paid newbie to where I am today... haha... Quite a big change if u ask me... haha... Throughout these years, I've made numerous frens who till today remain bestest of friends. Lucky me. :) This year's birthday celebrations were aplenty... haha.... think I had 5 celebrations. First was on 6 Nov with niece Fenzie, fenzie's boyfriend, bf, bf's boyfriend, ling, Justin and the wife at Irodori Japanese Restaurant @ Riverview Hotel! Great Japanese buffet with wide spread variety... yums! Second was on 8 Nov with the wife and her family to celebrate my FIL's and my birthday at the Peach Garden restaurant @ OCBC building. Ala carte chinese lunch... hmm... food was ok and not too pricey as well. Than it was Dim Sum buffet on 14 Nov at the Peach Blossom restaurant @ Marina Mandarin Hotel. The dim sum is fantastic... love it... go try it. :) On the 16th of Nov, Budz and I went KTV-ing the whole afternoon (woohoo!) followed with dinner at En Grill & Bar @ UE Square with calis, ah ling and jess. Yummy skewers ala carte buffet! slurps! love everything there... haha... Last but definately not the least, the wife brought me out for a nice dinner at the Town restaurant @ Fullerton Hotel on my actual Bday! Thanks dear! :D Was reading all the birthday wishes that came through sms-es and on facebook... suddenly felt so heartened. :) Thanks all for the wishes and prezzies... hearts them all. ^_^ Moving on, My next 10 years will be another milestone... will I still be blogging? haha... :P | | |

The married peepz in office decided to catch Michael Jackson's latest concert - "This Is It" last nite! And boy were we in for a blowoff! We were all excited abt it and MJ did not disappoint at all! It would have been the best concert of the century! So much effort was put into the preparation of his goodbye concert and it was evident in the entire 2 hours! The backdrops were mesmerizing, the dancers were brilliant, the cheorographing was magnificient! You have to see it to believe it... You could see how detailed MJ is... he only wants the best of the best for all his fans... his dedication to entertaining everyone is beyond words... Only thing is, it was all but a movie... Only if the concert went ahead as planned... Many thanks to the team that produced this movie... if not for them, no one would have been able to get a glimpse of MJ's Best concert ever. As MJ would say it... : God bless you... I love you...

Caught the preview of "A Christmas Carol" on Monday... The movie starred Jim Carrey... Jim Carrey... Jim Carrey... hahaha... he acted a total of 7 characters in the movie... Well, I've seen other renditions of "A Christmas Carol" (its based on a Charles Dickens' novel by the way) and I must say this could probably go down as the best one of them all. Disney must have spent lots of thoughts on doing this premier screening... At the theater, we were greeted by a group of choir boys singing Christmas Carols! This really brought us into the Christmas mood... haha... What's more, each guest was given a bag of goodies (popcorn, a drink and a jar filled with candies and chocolates)! The whole experience was brought to another level as the movie was screened in 3D! woohoo! Dun forget to chatch it! :) 4Stars.
| I'm back. officially. After being "away" from blogging for months, I decided to return. I miss the Xanga community, the rantings, ratings, expressing my thots in words and pictures..etc. Feels good to be "home". Lets see... my last post was in Feb... haha... and i realised that i've not uploaded my wedding pics ya? I tried, really, but there seems to be some problem with the uploading here... BUT, you can check my wedding pics <here> . I guess alot of things have changed at work over the last couple of months... I had my entire portfolio changed, team changed, a few of my colleagues left... CF, Mango, HJ and most recently Jer has left the team... My lunch kaki is fast depleating... come next year after bonus and increment is announced, more will leave... sigh. What does this say abt the management? You tell me. My Mgr has left for maternity and I'm carrying all the projects with my team of Me, Myself and I. Not that i'm complaining, but it all boils down to how recognised you get for your efforts put in and etc... you get the drift. I need to get my passion for my job back... What will be my motivation to push forward? Increment? Promotion? Either or Both? With so many of my colleagues leaving the team, it can become rather demoralizing... sigh. Read future posts for updates on this... Although work has been crazy over the past months, it also has its perks... I caught a couple of Concerts, took pics with Artistes, caught most of the latest movies FOC... the little perks of my job... haha... i'm easily satisfied. Oh on a lighter note, I've got a new ride! In March, we introduced "Cloud" to the family. Cloud is a white Altis... not the best around, but definitely pretty, serves its purpose and fuel efficient. I'm loving it. :) Its been almost 11 months into my marriage. Time really flies when you're happy. haha... And if u're wondering if there's any Little Charlie or Little mich coming along... well... not yet la... will keep u guys posted.. :P Gotta get back to work... haha... ciaoz. | | |
