December 2009 - New Year's Resolutions?

Ok, I know I'm suppose to update my blog more often but i was virtually out of town for the whole of December... haha... Well, guess i'll jus summerise the happenings...

December 2009 has been no less happening... start things off, i was on leave since 12 December all the way till 4 Jan... keke... Trips after Trips... The highlight has to be Christmas... This year, the wifey and I spent the Christmas weekend on board the SUperstar Cruise! Woohoo... Basically we ate and ate and ate so much that i refuse to post any pictures of ourselves here... hahaha.... cos we have seriously put on weight... *keke*... Christmas Eve on board was very happening! We had a poolside party, with all the guest and crew partying hard.. dancing, singing, merry making, eating... oh did i mention the Chocolate buffet? hahaha... it was a very different experience for both the wifey and I. :)

2nd highlight of the month was celebrating my 1st wedding anniversary... keke... like i've mentioned many times, time really flies... It has been 365 wonderful days with the wifey... she's been everything i'm not... Just wanna thank her for accomodating my numerous flaws... showering me with undaunting love although i keep irritating her... haha... heres to Many many many good years to come... :) so how did we celebrate? it was a simple affair actually cos the wifey didn't want me to spend too much.. hahaa... so we jus planned a wonderfully nice breakfast at Jones The Grocer @ Dempsey. :D Nice relaxing place to have brunch and breakfast was great... spent quality time together... haha... ^_^ After which, in the afternoon, we went over to Udders @ Kilat Road for Waffles and ice cream.... hahaha... indulgence... really... although the ice cream and waffles were not perfect, they were good enough. :D had a great time... haha...

3rd Highlight must be the Xmas cum New year dinner over at Justin's place on 30th December. Justin prepared Lamb, Pork, Chicken and wine for me, the wifey, best fren and bf, fenzie and bf, ling and sue! Oh we had gift exchange too... haha... not forgetting we played Wii after the wonderful dinner and we all had a great time! hahaa... Great company, Great food, great entertainment! best! :D

The year came to an end rather quickly if u ask me. Or i guess i had too much fun during the weeks leading to the New Year... haha... Frankly, my resolutions i set for last year were sadly not completed... haha... I shall carry forward to this year i guess, but i tend to see them thru this time round. So here goes:

1) To get back into shape (either by means of running of Wii-xercise! haha)

2) To spend less and save more. I think i've done a rather good job last year, and i can do even better this year. :)

3) To launch my online store!

4) To see through my business ideas and materialise them!

5) Invest wisely

6) Spend more time practicing my magic... and record more magic videos for you all... ;) haha...

7) Meet up wif Budz, my excolleagues, my close frens more often...  cos they are all so important to me... haha...

8) Blog more often.

9) Continue to perform at work... or find greener pastures...haha

10) Last but not least, spend more time wifh my family and love ones. :)

Ok there u have it. I'll try to follow... promise. haha...

The Twilight saga: New Moon - The Movie review

I heart Bella... but sadly, "The Twilight saga: New Moon" disappoints... i would probably condemn it as the worst movie of 2009. Slow, boring, draggy and definitely overhyped.

I caught the premiere at Lido on Wednesday... Together in the same cinema hall were numerous crazy teeny Twilight fans who screamed and whistled when the show started and when Edward appeared... Someone please save me...

Anyway I stayed on in anticipation of an entertaining movie ahead. Compared to the first installment, New Moon came no where near. The story was really slow to begin with and dragged too long with the numerous un-necessary kissing scenes... ok, you Edward fans out there would probably be saying "ya ya, you un-romantic idiot" but hey, lets be constructive here: It didn't add meat to the movie at all. Really, the only people who will enjoy it are people who are blinded by Edward's "good looks".

1 star. ~bleah

I can only say 1 thing. Save you money. Save it for Avatar thats coming out soon in December. :)

2012 - The movie review.

Finally managed to catch 2012 - The movie last Saturday... 1 word to describe it - Magnificent!

The CGI is really fantastic. i remember watching the "Making of" on TV last week and the director mentioned that he wanted to give the audience a "never-before earthquake experience" and boy did he do that!

2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors. John Cusack stars as an author who accidentally finds out (while camping with his kids) that the world is coming to and end... The rest of the movie pretty much tells of how he frantically tries to save his entire family by rushing to bring all of them on board this huge ship built by the US Govt. Shall not spoil the story for those who want to watch though. :)

4.5stars. Worth the wkend queue. go catch it before it ends it run...

The End of The World... as suggested in the movie as well as biblical records, should occur on 21 Dec 2012... Thats like not very far away isin't it? What will you do when the time comes? Run for your lives or savour the last moments of the world as you know it? I will choose the latter. Everyone's gonna die anyway... you just don't know when. I always believe "Life is short" - Live hard, play Harder! Treasure every moment with your love ones peepz. Don't forget to say "I Love you" while you can. :)

Ninja Assasin - The Movie

Attended the Premier of the movie "Ninja Assasin" last night at GV Vivo City.

Here's to all Rain fans... GO WATCH. haha...

For the rest of us, the movie is entertaining to say the least... packed with action from start to end. It does have some disturbing scenes here and there when the Ninjas assisnate their victims or when Rain fights off his enemies... WARNING: It is quite gory. Limbs fall off, body sliced into half, blood splaters all over...

The storyline is simple. It explains how the ninjas are trained from young, than enter Rain who betrays his clan, go against his ex clan members, fights his master... throw in some special effects... and you have a damn good fight scene. :)

3.5 stars. Commendable performance for Rain's hollywood debut. Go watch it on the big screen.

Hitting the BIG 3...

Yes, If you don't already know, I hit the Big 3-0 on 17 Nov 2009.

It really didn't hit upon me until I received the dreaded letter from ICA to change my Identity Card... haha... Oh well. :)

I actually took time off to reflect on my last 10 years of my life and what I have achieved... think its something good to do every 10 years... you ponder on what you have done that went right or wrong, good or bad...

I think the last 10 years has been rather revolutionary for me. It marked my transition from a nerdy army recruit to a Uni grad, single to married, a lowly paid newbie to where I am today... haha... Quite a big change if u ask me... haha... Throughout these years, I've made numerous frens who till today remain bestest of friends. Lucky me. :)

This year's birthday celebrations were aplenty... haha.... think I had 5 celebrations. First was on 6 Nov with niece Fenzie, fenzie's boyfriend, bf, bf's boyfriend, ling, Justin and the wife at Irodori Japanese Restaurant @ Riverview Hotel! Great Japanese buffet with wide spread variety... yums! Second was on 8 Nov with the wife and her family to celebrate my FIL's and my birthday at the Peach Garden restaurant @ OCBC building. Ala carte chinese lunch... hmm... food was ok and not too pricey as well. Than it was Dim Sum buffet on 14 Nov at the Peach Blossom restaurant @ Marina Mandarin Hotel. The dim sum is fantastic... love it... go try it. :)

On the 16th of Nov, Budz and I went KTV-ing the whole afternoon (woohoo!) followed with dinner at En Grill & Bar @ UE Square with calis, ah ling and jess. Yummy skewers ala carte buffet! slurps! love everything there... haha...

Last but definately not the least, the wife brought me out for a nice dinner at the Town restaurant @ Fullerton Hotel on my actual Bday! Thanks dear! :D

Was reading all the birthday wishes that came through sms-es and on facebook... suddenly felt so heartened. :) Thanks all for the wishes and prezzies... hearts them all. ^_^

Moving on, My next 10 years will be another milestone... will I still be blogging? haha... :P
